Cadabra is founded in January 1998 by Francesco Radicci. The current line-up is: Francesco Radicci (drums), Sebiano Cuscito (voice, guitars, synth) Vincenzo Romano (bass).
The band is influenced by the rock-wave sound of the eighties played in a more personal and innovative style.
During its first three years of activity, the band had recorded three demotapes: "Voodoo Medicine" (1998), "Second Skin" (1999), "Sound Moquette" (2000) which they had massively promoted all over Italy throughout web-magazines, music magazines and radios.
On January 2001 it had been put on-line the former official Cadabra website at www.cadabra.too.it; The band is present in other music portals as well such as: Vitaminic, Rockit, Rockol, Idbox, Attikmusic, Mescalina, Cantine, Liverock, Samigo, Sonicbands, Sulpalco, CircuitoSonoro, Substage, Musikcity, Musicx, Citymusic, Freemol, Settenote, Allmusic and Sottoterra.
Besides, in anticipation of the release of the first CD album, the band had decided to start again playing gigs. As a result, Cadabra had been playing important live gigs all along summer 2001 such as "Be-Art" Festival in Perugia, the "Three days of peace and music" Festival in Policastro (Salerno), the "Six Day Sonic Madness" Festival in Guardia Sanframondi (Benevento), the "Spazio Giovani 2001" Festival in Foggia.
In September '01 Cadabra have been come back in studio to record their brand new album (8 tracks): recording sessions were going to be finished two month later. Later on, on March '02, Cadabra had their first CD out on sale: "SOUND MOQUETTE".
In the meantime, the "Tour Moquette" reached various towns and cities and important music clubs as well like "Carpe diem" in Potenza, the "Indhastria" in Giulianova (Teramo), the "Brunch Music Club" in Porto d'Ascoli (Ascoli Piceno) and "Le Cave Cantieri" in Isernia.
Then, in June '02, Cadabra recorded a videoclip of the track "Blooms" which was produced by "Sentieri Selvaggi" cinema magazine. The clip had been directed by Bruno Schiavoni and Andrea Giusti.
After having finished the videoclip recording sessions, the band was again on tour on summer '02 playing in Summer Festivals as "UniverSound" a Cosenza, "Cave in Rock" at Cave (Roma) and "Bonefro Rock" at Bonefro (CB).
After the summer gigs, the "Tour Moquette" continued with the venues in Caserta, Latina, Rome, Bari (live unplugged at Controradio), in Avellino and later on in 2003, in Bari, again, Torre del Greco (Naples) and Matera.
Between December '02 and January '03 Cadabra joined two compilations: the first released by Acqued8Dischi from Bologna, the second compiled by the music club "Taverna del Maltese" among the best bands in Puglia.
In early 2003 the band was in studio to find new inspirations but at the beginning of summer they were requested to play in many festivals such as "Teatro Rossini" on June 7th which was also the opening gig of the new "Summer Tour 2003", and throughout summer 2003 until September the band played a lot of gigs including "National Music Convention" (Macerata), "Life Ebolifestival" (Eboli, SA), "Liberi Tutti Rock Fest" (Reggio Calabria), "Amorock" (Amorosi, BN), "Rockfest" (Silvi Marina, TE) and "Sudgrida" (Grottaglie, TA).
In September 2003, after 26 months, the "Tour Moquette" had concluded (50 gigs, 9 regions, 26 provinces in total). Soon after the "Tour Moquette", Cadabra joined other two cd-compilations released by "Life Ebolifestival" and "Strange Days Festival" both featuring the song Blooms.
At the end of year 2003 Cadabra were in studio for the recording sessions of their new cd.
In December 2003 Cadabra released their brand new album "Blood and Blades" recorded at Mediterraneo Studio by Massimo Stano in Santeramo in Colle (Ba).
In 2004 - 2005 Cadabra are going to be playing around in the "Bleeding Tour".
